What is Ya-Way?

Ya-Way is my definition and updated use of God’s original name of Yahweh. The name that He (God) gave to Moses when first meeting with Him at the burning bush of Mount Sinai. Where Moses asked, “Who shall I say that had sent me?” And God said to Moses “I am that I am, tell them that I am sent you.” Exodus 3:13b & 14 This is my little play on words as to remind all of us that as God had said that “I AM THAT I AM,” or יהוה (Yahweh) in Hebrew. Which to keep God’s name Holy and kept from their gentile neighbors from slandering/blaspheming God’s name, the Jews would never speak it aloud nor write His name down. When actually written down it would be only the first letter (י) the Yud only. In the English retrospect would be the G of then it’s hyphenated/dash (-) to keep an aspect of that tradition of respect and then the d to honor God, I’ll reference Him here as Ya-Way. This is not the only reason I referred God and this website as Ya-Way. Let me break it down for you. The first part Ya is to symbolize you. The hyphen is to symbolize His whole name they use the first letter, hyphens then the last letter. To keep His name Holy and revered. So the hyphen in this case is God and how He lives inside of us. Lastly is way, “The Way” or our way we live our lives. If we combine it all together it’s “You…God (living in you)…and His Way, simplified as Ya-Way.

    Great page, well done.

Did you know Native Americans used to chant ya way.

I’ve been studying world religion for 3 years now and am very much drawn to the phrase.

    Thanks for the web site,

    Love and respect

No Mark I didn’t know that Ya Way was a chant of the Native Americans. I’m thankful for your comment.
